Story

My name is Carlos Ngassa Bike, and I am passionate about sport and education.

Being part of this fundraising campaign is an opportunity for me to support a great cause that is Children Education and Wellbeing. The funds raised will help create a better environment for the children, be it toilets facilities for girls or a basketball court for all to learn about the game of basketball in Dubreka (Republic of Guinea).

Education affords opportunities, and contributing to the attainment of opportunities for the less fortunate is a task I find extremely rewarding. Your contribution will have an impact on a kid life, and it is very much appreciated.

Urbond is a charity working to improve access to primary education and provide opportunities to children in needs. Urbond launched the Child Education Programme in 2019. The programme is based in Koutaya, Dubreka (Guinea). The main purpose of the programme is to advance children education in Guinea (one of the poorest countries in the world), by providing primary education to children who do not have the opportunity to go to school.

Impact of Urbond work: 15,000+ people benefitting from our new library and the computer room each year. 2,280+ children benefitted from our teachers in classrooms project since 2019. 1,230+ locals benefitted from our need for girls education workshops in 2021. 320 parents supported with our efforts in 2021.79% pass rate in 2021 from 71% in 2020 and 45.5% in 2019.1,000+ packs of notebooks and essential writing materials donated to pupils to support their learning. 600+ textbooks, bags, and study materials donated to children in 2021.Please get involved.
