In January my Brother in law was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer, we were told it was the most aggressive type and he started his intense chemo straight away. We were all positive and hoped that the chemo would help Ian.
Throughout having his treatment Ian remained positive, didn't complain or want any sympathy and had a great sense of humour always smiling.
Then we were told in May that the cancer had come back more aggressive and spread, Ian was now terminal and had weeks to live. The whole family were devastated. The whole family cared for Ian around the clock so he was never alone, we made his last weeks happy as possible in this awful situation.
Ian lost his fight on Wednesday 18th June 2014. I am so proud of him, he fought as hard as he could for the longest five months of our lives, he was strong and courageous throughout all of his grueling treatment without complaining always thinking of others and always a smile on his face.
when Ian found out he didn't have long with us he asked his brother Mark (my husband) to give something back and remember his name by doing a big charity event every year.So we have started The Ian Diment Trust and in July 2015 we will be doing The London to Paris bike ride and hope to raise as much money as we can for Teenage Cancer Trust Ian's chosen charity! So please help us in anyway you can, donations will be greatly appreciated, fundraising ideas or events would be fantastic too, or join us on the bike ride!!
