Story

Foolishly I have signed up to run 100 miles in February for Refuge. I am not a runner at all - in fact, I hate running, so it will be a real challenge! However, there are thousands of people trapped in abusive situations and the position is worse than ever for them given the pandemic.  On any given day, Refuge supports 6,500 women and children and their resources are incredibly stretched without the usual fundraising events able to take place.  Just £10 could provide someone arriving at a Refuge with the support they need for their first night. Every £1 makes a difference. Thank you for any donation you are able to make.

** the poster is out of date and Refuge also provide support to men suffering DV.

Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.
