I'm on a bit of a get-fit kick and wanted to find the right event to motivate me to hit the gym/pound the streets. The British 10k is a brilliant event that runs right through beautiful London and supports hundreds of charities - I'm hoping it'll be a little bit fun as well, especially as I am taking on the challenge with one of my oldest and best friends, Chine Mbubaegbu.

I'm choosing to fundraise for The Brain Tumour Charity which I've supported for some years, since when it was known as the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust. It's now the UK's largest dedicated Brain Tumour charity, focussed on research into this specific cancer that, as some of you may know, took my mother from us 4 years ago at the age of just 51. 

I'd be delighted if you would sponsor me, as well as supporting this great cause I'm sure it will be the motivation I need to get round the route in my red charity t-shirt instead of just sneaking into a pub around the half way point!
