Story
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income. At a time when vulnerable members of society need them most, charities have had to cut services, furlough staff and some have even shut down. Captain Tom stepped up to help, taking on his famous walk to support the NHS Covid-19 appeal and inspiring millions to donate to the cause. I will be celebrating the extraordinary spirit of Captain Tom my way and help my chosen charity.
I will be reading LIVE Friday 30th April at 3pm on my Facebook page, a 100 word poem me and mummy have written to help spread awareness of the amazing work Julia’s House Children's Hospice do to support the children in their care with life shortening conditions and for the rest of their families.
My carers have been a life line for me and my mum during lockdown and shielding, they made me smile and laugh when I wasn't feeling myself and helped give my mum the head space she so desperately needed.
My progressive disease has got worst since Covid began so it has been very challenging with new obstacles to conquer and tolerating new daily pains and discomforts.
So I hope you can support me to help raise £100 towards the care they provide to families.
