The Elizabeth Foundation is a Family Centre with baby, toddler and pre-school sessions for deaf children and their families. We follow the 'Multi Sensory Oral Approach', to develop speech, language and listening skills by using all of the child's senses in a natural, fun, child-centred environment.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Last year we found out that our son William who's now 2 is profoundly deaf. Despite this he is one of the happiest, busiest children I have ever known, and daily he fills our lives with joy. Apart from being deaf he leads a completely normal life. The main difference is that he can't talk. He has just had a cochlear implant which is giving him access to some sounds and over time he may learn to speak.

The Elizabeth Foundation helps teach pre-school children of with all levels of hearing loss. They have the belief that every child can talk.  It is a wonderful, generous and warm organisation. All the staff have given a huge amount of time and care to both William and I, and I cannot put into words how much I appreciate their support. I am running this race in order to give something back to them. Please Please help me do this.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Elizabeth Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
