Story

As a family we have all taken on the challenge of walking 28 miles across Cornwall in a weekend to help fund the care of our Cornwall hospices. This is in memory of Dad, also known as Grandad Joe. It is our way of saying thank you to Cornwall Hospices.

Logan is training me up for this walk after my own ill health, and Dad would be very proud of him. Tom is joining us too, and Skylar who is only 7 is also training! Yes, Skylar is hoping to do as much of it as she can, she is very determined!

Our beloved dad and grandad spent his last few weeks in St Julia's Hospice, along with all of us. Myself staying over every day and night, and family visiting us at all hours every day. It became our home for a few weeks! The care, support and dedication of staff to Dad, and to all of our family and friends was remarkable. It was so important that we were all welcome and able to be together.

Could you help support Cornwall Hospice Care by donating? They do such great work. Just a £20 donation will help fund an hour of nursing care, £56 will help fund a speciality doctor.... Please do give what you can.
