Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our troops carry out duties in the most challenging (and dangerous) situations to secure the safety of our country in an increasingly uncertain world.  I feel that their efforts often get overlooked and they don't always receive the support they deserve upon return from missions.

My fundraising journey kicked off on 24th October at the South East London Poppy Appeal launch in Bexleyheath and got us to a great start (see photo from the picture gallery of me with the Mayor of Bexleyheath).

On Saturday 14th November 2015, I will drive from London to Beachy Head (UK South coast) in our classic, military Land Rover 101 FCGS.  It’s a return journey of around 160 miles. The finish line will be near St Paul's Cathedral (at the London Poppy Appeal’s Headquarters).

Wendy and I will set off early on Saturday morning and will sell our home-made gluten free cakes on the way to Beachy Head. All cake sale proceeds will go to The Royal British Legion.

Our 101, came into service with the British Army in 1976 and retired in 1994. We bought it in July 2014 and after a year and a half of hard work, the restoration is complete.  What better way than to use it to raise funds for The Royal British Legion.  This UK charity supports the lives of service and ex-service men and women in the Armed Forces community.

This is also homage to Wendy’s late Dad who supported The Royal British Legion for many years, hence is a charity we wish to continue supporting.

We have this site set up for online donations but please get in contact if you would like to donate another way.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Anything you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
