Carnegie & West Fife Rotary Ride from Dollar to Alloa (via DevonWay Cycle Path) & back · 16 June 2019

Prostate Scotland aims to inform, support, campaign and advance on prostate disease in Scotland. We raise awareness and provide information about prostate cancer and disease and its treatments. We also promote research and treatment developments on prostate issues across Scotland.

Story

One in eight men will get prostrate cancer at some point in their lives. Every 45 minutes, one man dies from prostrate cancer, and deaths from this form of cancer is set to soar over the next decade (source; Prostrate Cancer UK). Carnegie & West Fife are part of team 'Rotary Ride 2019' to raise funds to help with research into this deadly disease. It is no accident that our Endurance cycle ride is taking on Sunday 16th June 2019, Father's Day.

The event is 14 miles in total. We start with a leisurely 7 mile cycle along the scenic DevonWay from Dollar (starting at 10AM at Dollar Health Centre) to Alloa and then we stop for a coffee/snack in Alloa and then a 7 mile cycle back along the same cycle path to Dollar.

The route is entirely on the DevonWay cycle path for the whole 7 miles from Dollar until you reach Alloa. It's fairly flat although there are some undulations.

We are requesting cyclists make a £10 donation via this website to Prostate Scotland. Additional donations and sponsorship is, of course, more than welcome
