Sally and Mrs Dunne will be abseiling 100 feet off the JR to raise funds for IMPS! This adventure is on Sunday 22nd April at 11am.
Why are we being so brave? To help raise funds for the IMPs programme that many, many children including the Year 6 pupils from Long Wittenham have attended. The Injury Minimization Programme for Schools (IMPS) empowers young people to take personal responsibility for managing their own risk. It equips them with the skills to cope in an emergency. IMPS is a health education programme delivered to 10 and 11-year olds jointly in the school and local hospital emergency departments. Oxfordshire IMPS began in 1995. They cover 192 schools and train approximately 5200 children each year.
