We are raising money for Cambridgeshire MNDA in memory of Alex Deytrikh who died of MND in 2009. Cambs MNDA branch provided invaluable support throughout his illness.

A team named "The Wanderers" are attempting the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge - Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough - to be completed within 12 hours on Saturday 23 June 2012. This is a distance of 22.5 miles and a height gain of 1586 metres. We are hoping the lovely Yorkshire countryside and thought of a pint at the end, will distract from the pain in our once young legs (some more once young than others!) Well we did it!!!!! As a team we completed the challenge with seconds to spare. The weather conditions were awful with driving rain and strong winds on all 3 peaks, no views until the end, when the sun shone on Ribbledale. We were the only team out of 33 entrants for Cambs MNDA who completed the challenge, but all who entered raised invaluable funds for the local branch of Cambs MNDA supporting those living with MND.
