Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please share amongst everyone so we can reach this target

I am fundraising to help support Sickle cell and Young Stroke Survivors  African mission to buy 1000 Sickle cell boxes for children and young people living with Sickle cell in Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia by the end of 2018.

The issues are the same and the treatments are the same - no money -no treatment.

I personally have seen 3 of my cousins die from Sickle cell but having my own child who has Sickle cell anaemia and has had over 6 strokes, as a result, is what spurs me on to help the parents that cannot afford treatment or medicines because no one wants their child to die.

A child living with Sickle cell anaemia needs 3-monthly check-ups to maintain their wellness state. Sadly this involves medicines, adequate nutrition and other therapies such as blood transfusions. This is who the Sickle cell boxes are for.

Please enlarge the picture to see the contents of the medicine boxes for the monthly donations:

Box A to B:

£252 per year will provide medicines and treatments for a 3 month to 2 year old.

Box C:

£340 per year will provide medicines and treatments for a young person from 13 years old to adulthood.

So please help me reach my goal, nothing is too small, give what you can.

Please donate and share this widely.

Thank you so much.
