Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

3 years ago, Lucy and I embarked on a 100k bike ride overnight, in aid of Women V Cancer. We did this to raise money in particular for Ovarian Cancer, as my sister was diagnosed with it in 2017.

In July, I am riding from London to Brighton to raise money for Women v Cancer. This time I will have John in tow (or is it the other way round!), as men are joining women for this 10th anniversary ride (and Lucy is fully occupied with her two children and full-time work!).

After 3 rounds of chemotherapy and major surgery, my sister, Jill is still a very positive, smiley person, despite the cancer not  completely going away. Ovarian cancer is one of the most common cancers in women and is not easily recognised.  If you have these symptoms for more than a month or more than 12 times in a year, then please see your doctor:

*Feeling bloated (having a swollen tummy).   *Feeling full quickly and/or loss of appetite.    *Pain or discomfort in the lower tummy area and/or back.    *Needing to pass urine more often or more urgently (feeling like you can't hold on).

Thank you for reading this.
