Since moving to Crawley I have become aware of the growing number of people who are homeless. Sometimes I have found it difficult to know what to do to help.

Big Crawley Sleepout is a mass sponsored event with people spending one night sleeping out for Crawley Open House and YMCA Crawley. Both organisations exist to support vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the local area, and have had a presence in the community for many years.With West Sussex County Council looking to cut funding to the housing related support and homelessness sector across the county, Crawley Open House and YMCA Crawley have come together for an event aiming to raise vital funds to continue their work with homeless and young homeless people, respectively.Funds raised will be split jointly between the organisations, with money raised helping homeless and vulnerable people across Crawley.

I am sure The Big Sleepout, will be a challenge for me but it will just be for one night! It will be an opportunity to raise funds for people who value the support and care these organisations provide.
