I have been lucky enough to get the chance to study for a PhD at Bart's Cancer Institute.  I work with an amazing group of people who are all doing their best to try and improve the way we diagnose and treat cancer. I lost my grandmother to breast cancer and an uncle to leukaemia and another to lung cancer.  I hope that the work done at the institute will one day mean that no one has to lose someone they love to cancer.
