Autism Awareness Week | Supporting the CIRB · 8 March 2022

Friends of St Nicholas' School (FOSNS) is an active and inclusive group of parents/carers, teachers and friends supporting our brilliant school with fundraising and community-building activities for the direct benefit of the children.

Story

As part of World Autism Acceptance Week (28th March to 3rd April), I will be running 5km every day to raise money for my son George's school.

George attends the Communication and Interaction Resource Base (CIRB) at St Nicholas Primary School. The CIRB enables him to access a mainstream school environment whilst being given the support he needs to really thrive. He has an amazing team around him and we are incredibly grateful for their passion and commitment to all the children in their care.

All money raised will go towards play equipment for the CIRB's new outdoor learning space. This will allow the children to learn through play whilst supporting their social interaction and problem-solving skills.
