Story

Many of you have heard about my plan to run the London Marathon on the 26th April 2015. I think all of you have asked me ‘But why??? Why do you want to run 42K?’

The answer is really simple! I wanted to dedicate myself to do something other than working! My life is currently looking like this until now:

Sleep – tube – work – tube

Sleep – tube – work – tube – friends

Sleep – tube – work – tube

Sleep – tube – work – tube – friends

Sleep – tube – work – tube

Sleep – tube – friends – tube – friends

Sleep – tube – friends – tube – friends

I love my job, I love my friends (I hate the tube… !!!)

But the alarming observation is that I’ve spent :

*at least 14,805 hours at work

*at least 1,645 hours in the tube

*at least 15,330 hours sleeping (but I love sleeping J)

*a certain number of hours at the pub/restaurant/brunch with my friends & family, I don’t really want to count these ones…

And nothing dedicated to someone else/charity.

This is why I would like to follow a new path and run for a charity.

This is why I want to run for NEWLIFE - a foundation for disabled children - and the aim, with your help, is to raise £2,500. I’ll feel really proud running for them and helping those children. Moreover, I’ve chosen the 100% restricted giving, which means not a penny is taken out for administration costs. They’ll tell me how the gift was used, so I know exactly how we’ve helped. Please have a look at their webpage - http://www.newlifecharity.co.uk/docs11/about/what_we_do.shtml - they do an amazing job and I really would like to help them!

I’m sure this new adventure will bring me a more positive life filled with family, friends, new friends, many laughs (and maybe some tears) and a feeling of having helped an important cause.

…. because I remain slightly competitive, I would ideally like to finish within 4.30/5h hours … therefore, if someone likes running and fancies coaching me when it becomes harder on longer distances, please get in touch - it will be greatly appreciated!!!

Yes, I would like to finish first within my compset, 1st in ADR (fundraising), 1st in Occ (running) and therefore 1st in RevPAR (professional mannerism!).

To be honest, coming first or last doesn’t matter - it is the end goal that does …£2,500 for Newlife!

Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !
