I joined the Charity in January this year as Charity Development Manager and feel I need to support the Charity in its fundraising efforts in the hope that many more will take part in events.
Families United Network is a Charity with a difference and have such a hands on approach in its work.
We raise funds in order to provide services for families with children with special needs and disabilities.
Its run from a huge facility that has an array of activities for the children to take part in. We have support workers on hand to care for the children and encourage them to have fun in a safe non-judgemental environment.
We are so proud of our service and play a big part in our members lives across Bedfordshire.
Last year the Charity fell into crisis when our building was taken over by a new Landlord and our rent increased leaving us with nowhere to go. Our families were devastated and luckily we were rescued by the help of some generous donors.
Our future is still uncertain as in time this funding will run out so we are doing all we can to keep the Charity going hence me doing a crazy thing like a Skydive.
I am terrified at that concept of jumping out of plane but so passionate about the Charity and the work we do that I am prepared to take the leap.
Please look at our website or even give me a call if you want to ask any questions.
I will appreciate any support that you can give. And you are also supporting more than 400 families across Bedfordshire that would be lost without this service in their lives.
It's time to support children and their families from our local community and on their behalf I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
