Here is the link to watch the video of my skydive on YouTube!
Thank you to everyone that has made a donation, there's still time to donate if you haven't had a chance yet - please only give what you can afford.
UPDATE: On Saturday 19th November after the jump was delayed for a week due to strong winds, i completed the 15,000ft tandem skydive!
It was an amazing experience, very cold but the most incredible feeling and i'm so pleased I did it. Thank you to everyone that has donated and helped me to raise so much money for Refuge4Pets. You have been so supportive and I am very grateful to all of you.
THANK YOU!!!
I've been volunteering for Refuge4Pets for about three years, helping out at events, supermarket collections etc. They are such a small, local charity (based in Cornwall and covering both Devon and Cornwall) that every penny they receive, really makes a difference. They foster the animals of people fleeing from domestic abuse. This means the person can go into a refuge knowing that their much-loved pets have also been able to escape too, and are now being looked after by one of the charity's network of Pet Foster Carers. When the person is settled into a new, safe home (usually in a few weeks/months time) Refuge4Pets reunite them with their animals.
Please help me to raise as much money as possible for this incredible charity. I've never done anything like this before and i'm petrified at the thought of jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft. But if it means Refuge4Pets can help more people and animals to escape domestic abuse then i'm going to do it.
The skydive is on Saturday 12th November (UPDATE: postponed until Saturday 19th November due to strong winds) at Skydive Buzz's HQ at Dunkeswell Airfield near Honiton in Devon (EX14 4LG). You are welcome to come along to watch me free-fall from the plane at 15,000ft and then parachute down to the ground. I will of course be strapped to an expert instructor who will be doing all the technical stuff needed to get us down safely, phew!
Thank you so much in advance for your donation - I really apreciate it, especially when times are so tough for lots of people at the moment. Please only give what you can afford.
