Caroline's Celebrating 10 years Clear

Celebrating 10 years Clear · 29 May 2022
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cycling 100 miles with 2 amazing friends Katrina Jones and Robyn Holter from Ilfracombe to Plymouth Hoe. 29/05/22
On the 24th April 2012 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. On the 30th May I underwent surgery. On the 19th June I started chemotherapy. 2nd Nov finished chemotherapy. 1st Dec started radio therapy and 5th Jan 2013 completed my treatment.
Was it easy? absolutely not! Was it straightforward? absolutely not! Was I supported? 100% YES!
So many friends and family were there for me during this time. I cannot thank you all enough for your prayers, meals, laughter, tears, love and encouragement. I can honestly say, without you, I would not be the person I am today.
This is the reason I want to raise money for this incredible charity. The Breast Centre at Southmead hospital were exemplary. The surgeons, consultants, research nurses went above and beyond with the care I received. No one prepared me for the long recovery journey, the changes in my body, or the challenges of finding the new me, however, those around me gave me the strength I didn't have myself, the hope I felt had gone and the determination to push through.
I have so many people I want to thank;
Julia Anderiez for your time, friendship and support through all the nasty treatment, My Husband Steve who was my absolute rock throughout. My boys Jack and Ben Hardwick for managing their lives without their mum on top form and their friends parents for taking them in. Sassy and Dr Shea for their steady hands and removing all traces of cancer from my body, My sister Jan, who I just couldn't be without, my VBFITWWW Allie Hopes, Allie Clay, Sam Tilden, Oasis Academy Bristol staff, especially Bev Moon, Jo Mortimore, Pauline Martin, Bex and Vicky Boomer-Clarke, Uni friends, Sally, Tracy, Sue, Angela, Caroline, Jayne, Gean. My Gateway church family and my incredible parents Alan and Christine Williams.
There are many more who have been part of this journey and I apologise if I have forgotten anyone.
Today I thank God for the life I still have! For new friends, grandchildren, a beautiful home in Devon and the chance to pay it forward. Please, please give as generously as you can.
Many thanks
Caroline
