Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge · 18 May 2019

This year we are planning to take a group of 30 to climb the Yorkshire 3 peaks The event will run on sat May 18 2019 and will take all day, starting at Horton in Ribblesdale Many of the group have not attempted this climb before.

Story

Hi,

Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page where I am aiming to raise at the very least a minimum of £50 to support a locally based charity Defibrillators for All that provides and maintains defibrillators in our local community.

The charity also teaches defibrillator training to local residents and school children.

Defibrillators for All  needs continued support to allow for their good work to continue and to also fund 100 of our young people to have their heart screened to raise awareness of sudden young cardiac death.

Raising awareness not only helps identify those at risk at an early stage but ensures appropriate treatment that can help secure a future for those identified at risk.

I have never attempted a hill climb before ( born and bred in the very flat fens) and I will be attempting to ascend and descend the 3 peaks as follows :

Pen-y-ghent : 694m (2227ft),

Whernside : 736m (2415ft)

Ingleborough : 723m (2372ft)

This will be a real challenge for me, and we only have 12 hours to complete it!

Thanks for reading and I would be most grateful for your donation however small or large if you want to. I also have a paper sponsorship form, if you want to donate that way.

Thank You

Caroline  x

Each climber has agreed to raise a minimum of £50 towards our heart screening and will be funding their own equipment and accomodation Please support those that are supporting Defibrillators For All
