Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
July 2020 should have been the month that we brought our first child into the world, instead 17th March 2020 was the day my world changed and I found myself part of a group in society that we never asked to be included in.
1 in 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage and 1,000’s of babies never come home. Parents have to face this mostly alone and Aching Arms aim to bring comfort in the darkest days to parents and families with their Aching Arms bears giving parents something to cuddle when they need it.
Last year they donated over 5,000 bears through hospital support or directed donations and it cannot be underestimated enough how special these bears are to parents like me. Aching Arms also provide workplace training and a support service for families and their work is invaluable so I’m running the London Landmarks half marathon for them to continue their work and in Leo’s memory they can continue to try and make sure no family feels alone in their grief and journey!
