London to Brighton Bike Ride 2025 · 15 June 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Team Cure are taking on the incredible 2024 London to Brighton Cycle, hoping to raise as much as possible to fund cutting edge research into potential new treatments that could slow, stop or reverse Parkinson's.

Story

My late father James (Jim) Simcock was a Parkinson's sufferer for a decade of his life.  He fought hard and rarely grumbled about his condition.  Unfortunately, he passed away in January 2023.

It is timely for me to complete my first road ride in memory of my dad.  Particularly as the ride will take place on Father's Day (16 June) 2024.  I am also proud to be Cure Parkinson's first cyclist on the L2B!

The route itself is 86 KM/ 54 miles, starting at Clapham Common and finishing at Brighton Beachfront.  The route tackles a number of hills including the Ditchling Beacon which averages 9% but does hit 16% incline.

I'm taking part in the 2024 London to Brighton Bike Ride for Cure Parkinson's because they are here for the cure. Your donations will lead to the breakthrough we all want to see. Together we will find a cure for Parkinson's.

Thank you in advance for your support, however small, I am truly grateful to have you alongside me during my journey!
