Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Our mission is to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. These serious mental illnesses ruin and, too often, take lives. Our Helpline is available online or by phone for anyone suffering, as well as their family and friends.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have written a song for my daughter, Sophie. The song illustrates my feelings and struggles as a Mum, going through this illness with her. The song is called Runaway and I would like to kindly ask all those who view the You Tube clip to donate to BEAT in order that we can help raise funds for others battling this illness. Thank you

Runaway

How far do I run away, I'm trapped and I don't know what to do, How long can I hide the fear,  wanting to escape from here.

Chorus - That's what I feel inside, Right or wrong I can't decide, got to get the hell out of here, leaving those I love dear.

I'm tired and I want to runaway, my heart says I'm going have to stay, How long can I stand the fight, I've tried so hard to make it right.

Chorus - Thats what I feel inside ....

It's time now to throw the past away, I'm ready to face another day, as hard as its going to be to do, together we'll fight our way through,

Bridge - How long, how far, got to get moving On, how long, how far, moving on.

Chorus 2nd part twice - Thats what I felt inside, now I know I just can't hide, I've got to face the world gain, so I'm coming home to be with them.
