Chamberlain & Squire Cordwainer March

Cordwainer March · 14 June 2020
This Sunday, three generations of our family will be taking part in The Cordwainer's March for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The walk has two legs, the longer version which Oliver, Gina and Sarah are undertaking and the shorter, 'family friendly' 3 miles which Caroline, Ed and their young children are doing. Each of us will be walking the distance from our respective homes.
This charity walk is very personal to us, not only have we, like so many others, had family members affected by cancer. But last year the Royal Marsden provided amazing care and support to two friends children diagnosed with rare childhood cancers - Harry Shaw, whose father James is also Cordwainer and set up Harry's Pledge, developed Ewing’s Sarcoma and Artemis Wood, who battled Juvenile Myelomonocyitic Leukemia (JMML). Despite the best possible care, tragically these two rare childhood cancers prevailed.
Any funds we raise, alongside other Cordwainers, will go towards research into childhood cancers to ensure other children have a better chance of surviving and help enable the Royal Marsden provide the best possible diagnosis, treatment and care for those affected by cancer.
We understand the many pressures and pulls on peoples commitments at this challenging time and would like to thank you in advance for any support, however small, you feel you are able to give.
