Story

Camp Kudzu is a non-profit organization that serves children and teens living with Type 1 Diabetes through year-round camp programs. I  volunteered for the first time 5 years ago and fell in love with camp. Ever since, I try to volunteer at every possible camp program that I can. I most recently interned with them and fell even more in love with this organization.

In July, I joined the team full time as their Community Development Coordinator! In this role I get to work with our programs and medical team to plan and implement Kudzu One Day events all across Georgia as well as work closely with our newly diagnosed families. I love that Camp Kudzu gives campers the chance to meet others like them, try new things (both diabetes related and not!), learn skills that help them thrive with T1D, and become empowered to teach others about their disease- especially that it doesn't have to hold them back!

Camp Kudzu is a non-profit, so we need your help to continue providing this life-changing support! Please consider helping me as I participate in Camp Kudzu Young Adult Par-Tee for the chance to begin giving back to the future of Kudzu!
