October 29th 2010:-

I have to say a huge huge thankyou to Lodge Tyres for their generous donation to Breakthrough Breast Cancer raised via a charity golf tournament. I was very honoured to receive a cheque for the sum of £1000 which has rocketed my funds raised to date.

Absolutely Speachless!!!...xxx

June 6th 2010:- What can I say....WOW, what an exhillerating, amazing yet terrifying experience. I am still buzzing from the skydive. A huge huge thankyou to everyone who has helped me raise such a staggering amount of money for this fantastic cause. The video should be here within the week..:)

 

 

June 4th 2010:- Tomorrow is the day of my SkyDive and to say I'm nervous is an understatement!!

I am truly humbled by the generosity of everyone that has donated to this amazing cause.Without your support I do not think I would be able to go through with this.

When I first set up this page I thought my target was a bit ambitious and I am truly overwhelmed to have smashed it with all your help.

Again, my heartfelt thanks to everyone and my video will be on here very soon.

May 31st 2010:- Well folks, its the final countdown.......5 sleeps to go..lol.....

I can't believe the time is actually here.....its seems an age since I first decided to do this...5mths in fact.....

A HUGE HUGE THANKYOU to all those that have supported me in this and I hope to post the video on here as soon as I have done the skydive......wish me luck...xxxxx

May 19th 2010:- Well, 3 weeks to go and the nerves are kicking in!!.....A final push for fundraising so please keep digging deep. Hopefully my local Chronicle will be running a story to help with final efforts.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been wanting to do a Tandem Sky Dive for some time now and have finally plucked up the courage to actually book it. At the time of writing (Jan 12th 2010) I have two possible dates which are June 5th and June 12th 2010.

The actual date will be confirmed in the next 5 days. 

The venue is Whitchurch in Shropshire.

I then got to thinking of all the courageous women I know that are fighting Breast Cancer and have decided to nominate Breakthrough Breast Cancer as my chosen charity.

This charity is one which is very very close to my heart, having lost an Auntie in 1999 and my Nan in 2004 to Breast Cancer. I also have another family member who is currently, very bravely, fighting this awful disease.

I think we all know someone who has had or still has Breast Cancer and this is why I think charities like Breakthrough are heaven sent.

Hopefully, with awareness and fundraising we will one day find a cure to this sometimes devastating disease.

I am thrilled to have received a phone call from John at Lodge Tyres. He sadly lost his wife to Breast Cancer four years ago and has pledged a proportion of the funds raised from a charity golf tournament, being held in August 2010, towards this Sky Dive. The amount will not be known until after the event but I am eternally grateful to him for his fantastic support which is why I felt he deserved a mention.
