Story
Every couple of years I try to challenge myself for a cause that I feel passionate about, this time it's getting my boots on and scaling the Brecon Beacons raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. They do an amazing job, trying to transform the landscape of dementia forever. I work every day with people suffering from dementia and see first hand the devastating effects that Alzheimers has on individuals as well as their family and friends. The Alzheimers Society hopes to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. Until we find a cure, we have a responsibility to support those touched by this disease which robs individuals of their sense of self, their independence is stripped from them and the person they were slowly melts away... I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. So, I thought if I can contribute in any small way, then I will whilst I'm lucky enough to still be able to do it! Bring on the blisters!!! Anything you are able to donate I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you 😊 xx
