The reason I've set up this page is to not only raise money for Ovarian Cancer, but to raise awearness regarding it.

Its very close to my heart as my Mum has been diagnose with this Horrible Disease!!

Ovarian Cancer is classed as the silent killer because when you find out you have it, it's nominally at a stage where it can't be treated. This is not only heart breaking for the patient but for family and close friends too. As you can imagine when we found out Mum had ovarian cancer we were all utterly devastated, we are a very close family and these things are supposed to happen to other people. But through all of this emotional roller coaster so far, we have stayed strong and positive and it has only made us stronger as a family

 

For me raising money is not just to find a cure, but also I am really wanting to push for the CA125 blood test to be a routine test at your Doctors which detects if you have any cancer levels in your body and hopefully detect cancer at the very early stage's where it can be treated and hopefully cured!!

Symptons of Ovarian Cancer are persisting stomach pain, feeling full, persistant bloating, needing a wee more and possible fluid build up in these area's.
