Carol was diagnosed with an incurable Bowel cancer in August 2017 and began Chemotherapy treatment immediately. After 11 months of infusions every second week her tumors had reduced to a level where surgery for a liver resection was advised. During the 6 months of recovery from the operation she lived believing she was disease free and we enjoyed life to the full with the family and traveling on Holidays. A scan revealed the cancer had come back and after a short spell of more chemotherapy it became evident that further treatment would be futile. Carol bravely chose to continue life using pain relief knowing she had limited time to live. Carol never gave in and continued to battle against her cancer which finally took her life on 11th October 2019. She was at home with her family. 

Even though lots of people survive certain types of cancer not all can successfully be cured, more funds are needed to speed up the research and save others lives. Love Stuart,Amy,Joe, Harry x
