Story
"Hi, thank you for joining us in singing on your doorsteps on December 16th at 6pm!
With so much uncertainty about gatherings this winter, we wanted to bring neighbourhoods together in good spirit to share some Christmas cheer and raise money for good causes. This started in Shropshire, as all good things do, with a crazy idea! We are so grateful to BBC Radio Shropshire for leading the way and helping us make this happen and to all the other local radio stations who will be joining in across the nation.
"Stay safe, obey the rules where you are, wave at your neighbours and friends and belt out those carols knowing people across the country will be singing along too! - Beth Heath and Katy Rink"
From a Shrewsbury event, Carols on the Doorstep has taken off nationally, with 20+ radio stations set to broadcast carols on December 16th from 6-7pm. All you have to do is tune in to local radio and sing or play along, knowing that there are many others singing along with you.
To find the words and sheet music visit www.doorstepcarols.co.uk and find out how to help spread the word, if you haven't already!
The national charity we have chosen to support this year is the mental health charity Mind. It's been a tough year for so many and many more are feeling vulnerable at this time and in need of their services. We are asking you to kindly consider donating a suggested £2 each before you sing, to help support the valuable work of this organisation.
Help us support Mind as they support others this year.
