All my wonderful friends and family (it's true - I really think you are!),

As you will know, the trip to Uganda has come and gone.  I look forward to telling you all about it.  Most importantly though, the work put into building the attendants' shelter was phenomenal.  You'll be pleased to hear that it was almost finished during the two weeks we were there, everyone worked really hard.

There is still more to be done though as there wasn't quite enough money to buy the roof (just corrugated iron sheets) so I am sending another heartfelt appeal to your generosity for the cash.  Once that's done the patients' relatives will have somewhere to wash/cook/sleep rather than doing it on the ward floors.  Having seen the need for this shelter with my own eyes I am even more determined to get it done.  A beer costs about 33p over there so you only need to donate the price of one of your British pints to make a massive difference!
