I have been the chair of Age Cymru Gwent for the last year and during my time as chair and trustee I have been impressed by all the work they do to help older people be as independent as possible. The staff and volunteers work very hard in both the local hospitals and the community. For example they help to combat loneliness, provide help for carers and help people settle back home after being in hospital.
