Story

It costs around £2000 a month to employ a nurse to give care and support to a resident. Thorpe Hall currently has no volunteers, no income from their shop and limited fund raising opportunities.  They are providing incredible emotional support as well as specialist medical care to people who are finding themselves in unimaginably difficult circumstances. We are all facing something we have never faced before which is why Sue Ryder has launched an appeal to make sure that they are still. Unfortunately so may of our families and colleagues have received help and care from these wonderful people so this is our way of giving a bit back and that's why we have raised our target.

Three of our senior managers are shaving their heads in support (and they know it is very unlikely to grow back!) so PLEASE give as much or as little as you can :-)

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.
