Run for dementia · 1 September 2020
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Most of you will know that I’m no runner lol, but I am in need of a challenge and as this is a charity that is close to my heart it seemed like the perfect challenge for me. I’m challenging myself to run 50/100 miles over the course of the month of September. Most of you will know how this cruel disease is effecting our family . It is utterly terrifying at times so we do take comfort in the hilariously funny times. . My dad is a fighter and has instilled in us to go out there and fight for what you want in life.. Every run no matter how long or short will be for my dad and every other person that is affected by this cruel cruel disease. And in his words when I find it tough and I don’t feel like I can run anymore, I’ll hear my dads famous words ‘ don’t forget your a Boylen ‘
My dad my hero ❤️
