Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in the Great North Run on Sunday 10th September to raise money for Shift.MS - a really great charity that provides a social network for people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
My husband Andrew Blount started noticing sensory symptoms around Christmas 2015, burning, tingling, numbness on his arms, legs and face, after MRI's on his brain and neck and a lumbar puncture, he was diagnosed with MS in July 2016. His MS is a daily challenge, with many other, often hidden symptoms and the unpredictability of this condition is also difficult. Andy has undergone one of the strongest treatments this Summer with a hope of halting his condition - but it will not repair the damage already done - and currently there is no cure. Shift.MS provides information and support networks to those suffering from MS and is a great place for Andrew to learn more about his diagnosis and how to live with it.
I would love to raise £300, please, if you could help me, that would be brilliant! I really don't enjoy running - but I am doing this because I can - and others aren't able. Thank you so much in advance!
Also want to say a quick 'thank you' shout out to some special people who have helped me start out on my running journey - Alison Chown, Carrie Svertzelati Maguire and Simon Courtnage - you rock!
