Team: Remembering Evie Byrne

In memory of Evie Byrne

Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity believes no child should face hospital alone. Every day, 500 seriously ill children face a life-changing hospital visit. Children tell us it can be frightening. Parents say they're sick with worry. We want to change this. With your support, we can. Are you in?

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year I found out that little Evie Byrne had lost her battle with cancer at only 2 years old. It was so sad and frightening to know this tragedy had happened to someone so close in the community. A few of the local mums (who attend the local toddler group and/or the nursery) had the great idea of taking part in the Twilight Race for Life in little Evie B's memory and I thought I'd join in.

The Byrne family and their friends have done many fundraising events, donating to the likes of CHAS, CLIC Sargent, Cancer Research, etc. Of course every little helps. However, I have chosen to fundraise for Edinburgh Sick Kids as I know that Evie spent a lot of time there and both my boys and I have had first hand experience of the work that The Sick Kids Friends Foundation do for the hospital.

As well as joining 40+ local ladies to run the Twilight Race for Life in Edinburgh on October 26th, I am also running the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow on October 6th (which is a half marathon)!

Please show your support for this local family and my chosen charity, every penny counts and no donation is too small. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Love Carrie xCx
