Community Hospice provides free end of life care to anyone living with a terminal illness in Greenwich and Bexley, supporting around 3,000 people each year. Our goal is to help everyone we care for to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The reason my sister and I are taking part in this walk is to give something back to the Hospice as they helped look after my dad in his last few days with us. It made things so much easier to bear for us all and so much more dignified for my dad. They are wonderful people who give everything when you need them and they are still there for us now. We want to give something back and help them to help other families who are going through the same awful thing we did.

The Hospice does not charge for its services and only about one third of their funding comes from the NHS, which means that they depend on the generosity of, mostly local, individuals, trusts, organisations and businesses to raise for than 4 millions pounds annually so that they can continue to provide care to people when it matters most, just like they did for us!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
