National Three Peaks Challenge · 20 September 2019 to 21 September 2019 ·

Dexters Odyssey has been set up in memory of Dexter Liebow, to help families dealing with a new childhood cancer diagnosis by providing care packages. We will create memories through days out for families. The charity will support the oncology play departments in sourcing new equipment.

Story

We have decided to take part in the (REAL) three peaks challenge completing Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Mount  Snowdon in just 24 hours on the 20th July 2019 for Dexeter's Odyssey (charity reg..1178623).

The cause is extremely close to our hearts as it's Dexter's Charity, the legacy of an amazing boy still continuing to shine by raising money for those families and children who need it the most.  That's why we have decided to undertake this challenge.

Dexter was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma in October 2016. He was cared for by the amazing Bristol Children's and Great Ormond Street Hospitals.  Dexter put up one hell of a fight over the course of his 16 months treatment however sadly passed away in February 2018 peacefully with his Mum & Dad by his side.

This day is looking to raise money for Dexter's Charity to help relieve financial strain for effected families through providing gift vouchers for use in local businesses and creating family memories by providing days out as well as supporting Bristol Children's Hospital with vital equipment.

Carrie had the pleasure of meeting Dexter and his family whilst her daughter also received treatment at the Bristol Children's Hospital adding an extra layer as to why this charity holds a special place in our hearts.

Dexter is missed and loved. The smallest of donations helps to make a big difference and will go a long way in helping an amazing cause.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page.

Sending lots of love xx
