Story
Oakland Family Services is a private, nonprofit human service organization serving the area since 1921. It offers a continuum of prevention, education and treatment services that span the human life cycle, enrich the lives of children, strengthen families and rebuild lives. The agency builds brighter futures in our community through adoption, foster care, parenting and child development programs, free preschool for at-risk youth, and counseling services for those of all ages dealing with depression, anxiety, substance use issues, and severe emotional disturbance in youth. Oakland Family Services has three locations across Oakland County, one in Pontiac, one in Berkley and one in Walled Lake.
I have been working at OFS for 12 years now serving at-risk children/youth and families. I continue to feel proud to work for an agency that cares so much about the people we serve.
