When I was strolling in this area earlier in the year, I never dreamt I would be going back so soon to do such a long walk but this is a cause close to my heart because my mum is suffering with Alzeimers.

It's so difficult watching the progression of this disease and there are thousands of sufferers under 65  -  it has an impact on the whole family.

Research is vital to find the cause and the cure and to provide care and support for sufferers.The Alzeimers Society also campaigns for better quality of life for people with dementia and a greater understanding of the disease.

So PLEASE ... dig deep. You don't know if or when dementia may affect you or someone you love
