Story
In October this year, three colleagues are embarking on a journey from our comfy office in Swansea Enterprise Park to North Africa to embark on a 100KM trek across the Sahara Desert. During the trek we will be covering up to 18 kilometres per day across rocky terrain as well as the sweeping sand dunes the Sahara is famous for. Temperatures during the day can soar to over 40°C, however during the night, it can often plummet below freezing. It will take a lot of training and planning to carry out this physically and mentally exhausting challenge.
So why are we doing it?
We're raising money for the Princes Trust, which helps build the confidence and motivation of disadvantaged young people, by providing mentoring, training programmes and financial grants to around 40,000 young people a year, with more than 80% of those helped by the Trust moving on to Employment, Education, Training or Volunteering.
As part of our fund-raising, we are hosting a charity evening on 22 March 2013, and are seeking assistance from other people who want to make a difference for this admirable charity. We are seeking donations of raffle and auction prizes for the evening, and would be grateful for anything you would be willing to contribute for a worthy cause. No matter how small your donation, the Princes Trust will benefit from your generosity.
