Story

We are about to attempt the third “Annual Carry Something Ridiculous Challenge”. This year will be the furthest distance yet, Gloucester to Tower Bridge London (110 miles.) Last year was the hardest challenge any of us had ever undertaken and pushed us to the limits of our sanity – hallucinations such as being chased down the motorway by a dinosaur were definitely an experience! The challenge last year took 54 hours to complete and was a distance of 100 miles.

Examples of objects being carried this year are a Henry Hoover and two fire service training dummies roughly 70kg each. Any other ideas are welcome. We predict the walk will take around 60 hours, starting on Friday the 26th August at 05:00 and finishing around 17:00 Sunday 28th.

We have the company “Little Dragon Shots” sponsoring us as well as Sainsbury’s who have made the Rob Knox foundation their charity of the year. All money raised by the Rob Knox foundation goes towards making the streets safer by educating the public and particularly school children about street crime and violence.  The charity has produced education packs for schools, run a rehabilitation workshop at Feltham young offenders institution and set up street pastors in Greenwich and Bexley, along with a host of other projects. The money raised from the challenge will help the charity continue their great work in making our society a better place.

Thank you from the team
