At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

850,000 people in the UK are known to be living with dementia. The actual figure is thought to be higher. Caryl's mum is one of them.

Dementia is now the leading cause of death in the UK. We've therefore decided to organise our own sponsored ride to support the Alzheimer's Society.

In June, we'll be riding back from our French twin town, Le Vesinet, Paris to Worcester. Using the ferry from Caen to Portsmouth we'll be cycling 275 miles over 4 days. The ride is unsupported. We'll be carrying all our own luggage on our small wheeled bikes. We'll also be paying our own accommodation, food and ferry costs. That way 100% of what you donate will go to the charity. Even more if its gift aided.

We do hope you'll feel able to support this worthwhile cause.
