In October 2021 I will be running the London Royal Parks Half Marathon, raising money for Dementia UK, in memory of my Nan Peta, who recently passed away after battling dementia. 

Currently, there are over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK today and it is estimated that the number of people living with dementia in the UK by 2021 will rise to over one million. Dementia UK provide admiral nurses who offer support to families affected by dementia as well as a dementia helpline offering free support and advice. Any donations help fund these incredible services. 

I've never done any long distance running before so i'm nervous but determined! The support means everything and the donations will help more patients and families get the support they need with dementia.
