Casa Reom Trust raises funds for Casa Reom, a centre for street children and a school in Beira, Mozambique. Casa Reom also helps people in the surrounding area, by providing relief from financial hardship and social and/or economic disadvantage and seeks to advance the education of all ages.

Story

Following our recent visit to Casa Reom at Inhamizua, we have identified a need to find a good solution to the water and sanitation of the site.  We are looking to install a new strorage tank (at the base of the existing water tower) and a new pump to deliver this water from the base to the top of the tower. This would enable running water from the taps (drinking water from the municipal supply), showers and flushing toilets in the sanitary block which is needed by the school children (200), staff and resident boys (30).

In addition we are looking for the architects to design the complete sewerage solution for the proposed new buildings to enable a good foundation on which to build further accommodation and toilets for the next phase of construction.
