A confidential and free support and signposting service for anyone in Herts affected by domestic abuse staffed by trained volunteers. We take calls from victims/survivors, concerned friends, family and work colleagues and professionals who may have clients with them.

Story

Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline is a free, confidential and anonymous service for anyone affected by domestic abuse.  You can call or email the Helpline to discuss your issues and explore options.  You will then be signposted to organisations that are most likely to be able to assist with your particular situation. In this way the caller is empowered to take the next step when they are ready.

As well as victims-survivors the Helpline also receives calls from concerned friends and family members, employers and professionals.  The service is available for everyone, including male victims, LGBTQ, BAME, the elderly and those with disabilities.

The Helpline is a registered charity first established in 2002.  It receives around 2,300 calls and emails a year. It is volunteer-led with only 2 part time staff.  To keep the Helpline as a free-to-caller service costs around £20 per hour so I am asking for your donation to help keep this valuable support service going.
