I £#(&ing hate running
Hey! It's me, Cassie - known by some absolute bangers such as "I £#(&ing hate running", "I'd rather be dead than run", "I only do yoga, soz" and "taking Phys Ed via distance learning in order to graduate high school." 💁♀️
Having successfully raised over £1000 for an animal sanctuary by running a half marathon, I've decided to up to the ante: this time I'll be running the London Marathon - 42.2km of sweat, blood, tears and owe-y feet - and raising £3000 for another great animal charity.
Why Battersea Cats and Dogs?
From the moment they welcomed their first stray dog in 1860, they have been placing animals at the centre of everything they do. More than three million animals later, they're still working hard to achieve their vision that every dog and cat should live in a home where they are treated with love, care and respect.
Battersea aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. They are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.
How much should I donate?
Any and all donations are extremely appreciated, but here's how your donations make a difference:
£10 could provide three dogs collars and leads for their time at Battersea, meaning they can go on walks to the park.
£20 could cover the screening of four cats for Leukaemia and FIV, ensuring they get the vital treatment they need.
£60 can microchip 10 dogs and cats, meaning if they get lost, they can be reunited with their humans.
£200 could help provided one-use items for their state-of-the-art clinic for one day. This includes gloves, bandages and syringes. On average, 19 animals undergo medical treatment each day.
Powered by plants
I'm not only raising £3000 for this amazing charity, but also hoping end this "bUt VeGaNs DoN't GeT eNoUgH pRoTeIn" argument once and for all. The marathon - and all the training leading up to it - will be powered entirely by plants, tears and determination. 😅
