My grandad ... lost his battle in 2010 to cancer... From a very young age my grandad was a rock to my family and one of the most hardworking, giving beautiful men you could of ever wished to have in your life. Through the good times he was there... through the bad times he would show endless support and courage, had it not been for him... many times I would have crumbled.

To show my love for him, My support to a great charity that cared for him in a hospice until the day he passed.

Cancer tears so many families apart. although nothing eases the pain of losing someone so close to you. someone you don't think you can live without, one of the things that made it easier for both my family and I, was the amazing treatment he received at a Macmillan Hospice. They showed so much dignity, respect, empathy and love from the day we arrived to the day my beloved grandad passed. So to raise awareness of an incredible charity and as a mark of respect for my grandad... I am shaving my head to embrace a situation that many receiving chemo-therapy don't have a choice but to. I love my hair but it will grow back and every pound that I raise will make every part of this experience worthwhile.

In raising this money I truly hope it assists Macmillan to carry on helping all those that are still fighting or are yet to fight... My hair is also being donated to make wigs for children who have undergone chemo :)
