Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Covid-19 has caused the world to stop but the work that Marie Curie hasn’t in that time. The pandemic has also given me lots of spare time to really analyse what I want from my life. Therefore, I have set myself the challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp over 11 days in September 2022 in order to enable myself to help others by allowing Marie Curie to continue with their amazing work!

Marie Curie nurses work on the frontline, day or night providing high quality palliative care to 33,920 people from the comfort of their own home. This means those suffering from terminal illnesses can still have a good quality of life despite their illness. A £20 donation allows a nurse to offer this care for one hour whilst £180 allows them to work for a full nine-hour shift!

I would really love it if you could all support me on this journey and either share my fundraising link or donate, even the smallest amount will really go a long way to help so many people!🌼
